Bodega Tapiz

Country:

Bodega Tapiz produces its wines with vineyards located at different altitudes ranging from 920 to 1,400 meters above sea level and embraced by the impressive Andes mountain range. This special geographical location due to its bio-climatic characteristics makes it a unique and different place to the rest of the wine world.

The Tapiz Winery, located in the San Pablo I.G. in Mendoza’s Uco Valley, has one of the highest vineyards in Mendoza at 4,600 feet above sea level. Under the ownership and vision of Patricia Ortiz, Tapiz is a pioneer in the region and helped develop San Pablo into one of Argentina’s most renowned IGs. The state-of-the art winery is located in the heart of the estate vineyards, at the foothills of the Andes Mountains.

Under the expert guidance of Fabian Valenzuela, our winemaker of over 20 years, along with Carlos Correas, their skilled agronomist, and Patricia Ortiz, their visionary CEO, Tapiz has grown to become an integral part of the Fincas Patagónicas family. Their collective expertise drives our commitment to excellence and innovation. Amongst other things, Patricia has been at the forefront of Sustainable Practices across all sections of the business, cultural integration and as of late, low & no alcohol range development, launching the first de-alcoholized premium wine range from Argentina: Zolo Zero, designed to retain the character of tradicional wine.

Since 2012, Jean Claude Berrouet – ex wine maker of Ch Petrus – has been consulting for Tapiz, inducing his hast experience into the whole process from the vineyard to the winery across the full range of wines, and including his own name on the two top of the range wines Las Notas de Jean Claude and Retrato de Jean Claude
