VINEYARD AREA: The vineyards are located in the Alto Najerilla subzone, in the municipalities of Cárdenas and Badarán. Very old vineyards with high density of plantation and distributed in small vineyards.
VINEYARD ALTITUDE: Located at an altitude between 600 and 700 meters above sea level. Vineyards over 80 years old.
SOILS: Very deep sandy silt soils with an important ferrous component and veins of calcium sulfate. They have rocky components of colluvial origin on the surface and with accumulation of clay from a depth of 3 meters, later the parent rock of sandy origin appears. This type of soil produces elegant, fine and fresh wines.
VINTAGE CHARACTERISTICS:
The 2019 vintage is one that will surely go down in history. The winter was cold with snow and rain that accumulated good water reserves in the soil; Sprouting within the usual range. The spring was cool, with moderate rain during the first months of the cycle. The summer was very dry and cool, which offered us a very slow ripening cycle and a fantastic health condition. This results in it being one of the best vintages in recent years.
WINE CHARACTERISTICS:
Medium layer wine with an elegant cherry red color with ruby red rims. On the nose it is intense and fresh with notes of wild red fruits and balsamic notes reminiscent of aromatic scrubland herbs. On the palate it is agile, fresh and fruity, with good fluidity and great complexity
